We are excited to offer The Ocean Academy SUP Training Club
SUP Training Club includes 4 group training sessions with coach Brent Ackland, programmed by Candice Appleby.
Thinking about doing your first race? Want to improve your race results? Or Just want to use your paddleboard for an awesome training session?
Let’s do it together! In this 4-Session SUP Training Club you will learn valuable information on how to use SUP as a training tool, as well as technical skills that will help you perform better on race day.
We have local Ontario SUP Series races, or join some of the Northern SUP Crew for an epic road trip to Tega Cay, SC for The Goat Boater Pirate Treasure 6k; https://thegoatboater.com/race-series/pirate-treasure-6k
Topics that will be covered include; interval training, race starts/finishes, drafting, pacing, turning and course management. This is not a typical clinic. This is a training session that will highlight a particular topic during each interval training session. Come prepared to train hard, gain experience, make friends, and build confidence so you can perform your best on race day.
For those that purchase our full sessions in advance, in addition to the four in-person group training sessions, you will also receive 4 interval paddle workouts to help supplement your training program for the month. These workouts can be done with other training club members, or by yourself throughout the course of the month to help you reach your peak on race day.

Time: 6:30pm-7:45pm
Location: 10th Line Beach, Innisfil (622 – 10th Line, Innisfil)

Requirements & Recommendations:
Be on time! Workout starts promptly.
PFD’s Always.
Displacement paddleboards ONLY (12’6” or 14’)
Be able to paddle at least 4 miles in 80 minutes.
No refunds for inclement weather.
